ANNUAL ORBITAL GOLF CLASSIC
The Orbital Golf Classic is the John Glenn Squadron’s annual golf tournament fundraiser, a tradition with deep roots in our community. A 2022 announcement identified it as the 18th Annual Orbital Golf Classic, underscoring its long-standing history of supporting the Squadron’s programs, scholarships, and outreach initiatives. Throughout the year, we host a variety of events designed not only to raise funds for our local STEM scholarships, but also to foster fellowship across the Marine Corps Aviation community. These gatherings strengthen relationships, celebrate shared service, and ensure we can continue investing in the next generation of STEM leaders.
AQUISITION AWARDS CEREMONY
The MCAA John Glenn Squadron Acquisition Awards Banquet is an annual celebration honoring excellence across the Marine Corps Aviation Acquisition and Test communities. This distinguished event recognizes the individuals and teams whose leadership, innovation, and dedication directly advance Marine aviation capabilities and strengthen the warfighter. Each year, the Squadron brings together Marines, civilians, industry partners, and community supporters for an evening of recognition and camaraderie. The banquet highlights outstanding achievements in program management, engineering, logistics, test and evaluation, and acquisition support — showcasing the professionals whose work ensures Marine aviators receive the world‑class systems they deserve. The John Glenn Squadron remains committed to fostering community, honoring service, and supporting the next generation of STEM leaders through its scholarship program. The Acquisition Awards Banquet stands as a cornerstone of that mission, celebrating those who exemplify excellence in support of Marine Corps Aviation.
